Crying

Crying

I’m turned inside out when I’m with you.

My make up melts off as if it never sheltered my face,

because all you see is the truth.

When I’m bare and broken

you see my as if I’m beautiful.

Your eyes pierce through me like a ray of

sun slices through thick fog; you look past my

heavy breathing and see my beating heart.

When I’m bare and broken

you see me as if I’m beautiful.

Though my blurry eyes cloud my vision, your clear

eyes stare at my battered body, examining my viscera

for all they’re worth.

When I’m bare and broken

you see me as if I’m beautiful.

Your embrace envelops me until I’m lost within your

unscathed warmth, staining your shirt with the tears

of my thoughts.

When I’m bare and broken

you see me as if I’m beautiful.

I can’t hide from you any more than I can hide from myself;

instead I’m on display – ripped open until the depths of my

soul spill out in front of you.

When I’m bare and broken

you see me as if I’m beautiful.
